Who was the client?
GLL (Greenwich Leisure Limited) worked with Escape Fitness to help equip the Rivermead Leisure Complex as part of a £2m refurbishment.
What was their outcome?
The client wanted to bring their site facilities up to standard and introduce a dedicated zone for Personal Training.
What equipment did they select?
The complex in
Escape equipped their Fitness Lounge with Personal Training equipment for core workouts including Reebok Medicine Balls, Dura Balls and Reebok Resistance Tubes.
Other spaces in the gym include the free weights area, which features Pavigym’s double-layered and shock absorbent Free Weight Flooring to prevent damage to the flooring and to protect the surface below.
The flooring not only cushions the fall of any equipment, but also provides great sound proofing.
Escape also installed a full 30 person Reebok Studio including Reebok Decks, Training Bars and space saving storage for Medicine Balls, Dura Balls and a multi-mat storage rack for yoga and studio mats.
In addition, Escape has also installed two 10m sprint track lanes from BSW in the new exercise studio, which can be used for speed and agility training, plyometric training and circuits as well as generating additional revenue through personal training.
What did the client say?
“This comprehensive refurbishment programme means Rivermead now offers some of the best, most innovative leisure and fitness facilities in the region,” says Ben Whaymand, General Manager at the Rivermead Leisure Complex.
